We provide three main types of Residential Care:

• High Care: For physically dependent people requiring a higher level of clinical and nursing care.
• Low Care: For those people who require some assistance with daily activities.
• Dementia Care: For those people living with dementia and other cognitive impairments that require a secure and caring environment.
• Respite Care (short-term accomodation and care): In times of need following an acute illness or injury, or to give a primary carer respite.

Yes. We offer temporary support in a high-care environment for a minimum of 2 weeks at all of our Residential Care facilities, subject to availability.

The Australian Government also provides compensation for up to 65 days (9 weeks) per financial year for respite care, which can be used all at once or over several visits. 

To be eligible for compensation and to assess your eligibility for respite care you will need to complete a face-to-face Aged Care Assessment by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). See step 1 in How Do I Apply for more information.

Yes. Montefiore welcomes residents from diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds while honouring the Jewish ethos. In communal areas and dining facilities, Jewish customs are observed and kosher food is served. Our dedicated Spiritual and Cultural Department will work with you to support your personal religious practices.
