Clinical Governance Nurse SpecialistAn exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist, an RN with post graduate qualifications or undertaking post graduate study to join our Clinical Governance Team on a permanent full-time basis.As a leader in aged care, you will provide clinical support to the interdisciplinary teams across the organisation to promote and mentor staff on evidence-based practice. One of the primary objectives of the role is to work with the CNS and RN at each campus to support clinical care such as wound management, falls prevention, acute deterioration, palliation and behaviour support.   Reporting to the General Manager Clinical Governance and working within our dedicated Clinical Governance team you will be at the forefront of clinical best practice as well as governance of antimicrobial stewardship, medication management and other key clinical indicators.Crucial to the position is your ability to lead, support and educate staff on clinical matters, promote and participate in a culture of continuous learning and development and promote a wellness model with stakeholders.Essential Criteria:Hold current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Have a minimum of 3 years post graduate clinical experience within aged careHold postgraduate qualifications in aged care/rehabilitation or related field (preferable)Have capabilities in a broad range of clinical nursing skills e.g. acute care, wound management, aged careAbility to work within an interdisciplinary team environmentHave highly developed written and oral communication skills Experience using a variety of Client Information Management Systems e.g. Electronic medication management systems, consumer recordsTo be successful in this role you will demonstrate excellent clinical decision making, critical thinking and have well developed written and verbal communication skills to enable collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders.A Transitional Nurse Practitioner with a strong clinical background would be encouraged to apply for this position.About Us:Montefiore is an award-winning, Sydney-based aged care provider, with a proud 130-year history as a non-profit organisation founded on Jewish values.
